Great gender neutral kitchen

My son got this kitchen from Santa Claus -- and it is by far his favorite toy this Christmas. He has cooked all of us several pots of matchbox car stew and thomas the train soup... everything works and sounds real. An added bonus is that is extremely attractive -- especially for a plastic toy (we normally prefer wood) -- it blends in nicely and isn't overly garish. Another plus is that it is decidedly gender neutral -- not pink like most play kitchens. Boys like to cook too!
My husband helped Santa with putting this together and while it was time consuming it wasn't difficult at all. Even late on Christmas Eve there was no swearing or complaining -- so I know it wasn't a big deal. Also, this isn't as huge as I thought it would be. It is a perfect size -- big enough for two kids but small enough that it doesn't take over the hosue. I would definately recommend this toy... especially if you like matchbox car stew cooked in the microwave.

Although we were very happy with this kitchen set for our daughter's Christmas present, I wish I had opened the box weeks before Christmas instead of waiting til Christmas Eve to put it together.
We were missing 12 screws, 2 condiment bottles, plates and silverware.

I have a 4 year old girl, twin 6 year old girls and a 9 year old boy and this is the only toy that brings them together. Theres not a LOT of counter space, but one kid cuts wooden food, the other cooks, the other sets the table and another will get the baby dolls into their high chairs and bibs. It's a great toy, durable and very tolerable sounds, even when the kids just keep going and going...it was very much worth the money although i hated putting it together. and you will spend 20 bucks on batteries.
Love it so far!

We got this for my son's 2 year birthday. I (Mom) put it together by myself with only a multi tool screwdriver. I highly recommend getting your husband to do it, and use a power drill. It is not complicated to put together, but difficult manually. My son loves the phone, microwave, and especially the "working" burner. We did get a basket to put some fruits and veggies in, cause there isn't much storage. Little boxes and cans and the dishes fit nicely. But the fruits and veggies are a little big for the two baskets. I'm glad we got this one instead of the "custom" which is smaller with less counter. After shopping around, we actually got this at Toys R Us locally for $40 less. Worth checking out. Seems really sturdy and will hopefully be enjoyed by my twins newborns in the future as well.
Smaller than we thought, but still a GREAT kitchen!

It was smaller than we thought when we started putting it together, but the kids still love it! It was fairly easy to put together, but it does take about an hour. It has realistic stickers to give the appliances more detail and the microwave even has buttons to push and sound effects. The little baskets are very cute and durable as well.
